The Places I have traveled

Here is a personal narrative that I wrote for homeschool this week:

I have traveled to so many places!!  I may live in the cold, icy north, but I have had many adventures in other locations.  I am here tell about three of them.

The first location is Hawaii.  I really liked to walk on the beach and look at the crabs, smash coconuts with a hammer, and make sand castles. My family and I where having fun until, in the middle of the night,...we were robed! the robber cut a hole in the tent meaning we had to sleep in a hotel for a few days. After that we packed up and flew to new Zealand.

I really liked New Zealand. We stayed at many campgrounds out in the woods. It was fun walking in the forest, looking at kiwis, and eating fish.  At one campground, we played like Maoris.  My mom and sister made face paint, while my dad and I made native weapons, like tomahawks and spears, out of rocks and sticks.  We had a wild time!  We also worked on farms.  We got to hold baby chicks and feed lots of pigs.  The chickens were so cute and one day I watched a pig bite a tomato that splattered all over its face. It was so funny. After 3 months we flew back to Alaska.

Our next adventure location was Utah.  We drove there in an old Winnebago named Shorty.  On our way there we stopped at hot springs in Canada, and visited our great-grandpa in Montana.  Utah was fun and dangerous at the same time. My sister and I had our own little 4 wheelers we drove in the yard. We liked to go hiking with mom and dad to mountain streams and go swimming because it is always to hot in Utah.  After one year of living in the desert, we went back home to Alaska.

I've  been to so many locations that I can't remember them all.  While traveling is nice and fun, I prefer being in bed with a good book and a cup of tea. Ahhhhh!
